Advanced CEREC technology allows Dupont Family Dentistry to fabricate and fit restorations in a single dental appointment, including tooth-colored fillings and crowns. The days of long, multiple appointments are a thing of the past, and you can have a beautiful, strong tooth and be on your way—back to the things that matter most.
A crown is a tooth-shaped cover that restores a tooth to a uniform shape, size, and function. Crowns are color-matched to the rest of the teeth, making them not only aesthetically pleasing but stronger—and CEREC technology allows us to complete an entire dental crown in just one day.
If your tooth has decay too large to be repaired with a simple filling but not extensive enough for a crown, we may recommend an inlay or an onlay. Inlays and onlays can fill large cavities, replace old fillings, and allow retention of a larger percentage of your healthy tooth structure. While inlays repair damage contained within the cusp or outer ridges of the tooth, onlays extend beyond the cusp. Like our other restorations, inlays and onlays are color-matched to your individual teeth.
Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain or composite resin placed over the visible, front part of a tooth to protect its surface, repair breakage, staining, and other damage, and make smiles appear brighter and more uniform.
Bonding is the application of tooth-colored plastic resin to repair a discolored, cracked, chipped or decayed tooth. It can also close gaps between teeth, make teeth look longer, or change the general shape or color of teeth, in addition to making them stronger overall. Bonding can also usually be performed in one day–no anesthetic needed!
If you’re missing one tooth or several teeth, Dupont Family Dentistry can help get your smile back to optimal form and function with dental bridges or partial dentures, which can replace absent teeth securely. Bridges and partials also blend well with your natural teeth.
