A New Hope for Great American Smiles
Free Dentistry for Veterans on Freedom Day USA
Save the Date: Friday, November 8, 2019
2019 marks Dupont Family Dentistry’s third successful year as proud participants of Freedom Day USA. From 8:00am to 2:00pm on Friday, November 8, our team will volunteer their time and talents to give back to those who served in the armed forces, providing complimentary services to both active duty military and retired veterans.
Freedom Day dental appointments with Dr. Diehl, Dr. Hemphill, and the rest of our team will be scheduled for existing patients on a first-come, first-served basis. Each honored guest may choose one service: cleaning, a filling, or an extraction. (The doctors may do two fillings or extractions if time allows, but on a case-by-case basis.) This offer is valid on Friday, November 8th only.
Dupont Family Dentistry salutes all the brave men and women who put their careers, health, and their very lives on the line to protect and serve the greater good of our nation and all of its citizens.
If you are an active duty or veteran military member who would like to schedule your complimentary appointment or have any other questions about Freedom Day USA, please feel free to contact your Fort Wayne dentists at (260) 209-1550.
A special request from Dr. Dave Diehl:
I have been blessed to be a part of many dental missions trips over the years. Serving in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. With many different teams and many different challenges and successes. All of these experiences have enriched my life in ways I have never thought possible. The most significant impact I have experienced has consistently been in the relationships we have developed over the years. Meeting people from all walks of life. And meeting people who have great physical needs. Way more than I can understand as an American.
Through all of this, I have been asked many times by patients and friends if there was a way they can help. I have had people give me money to use towards the costs of trips, and others have offered up prayers for the safety and success of our trips. I personally have felt uncomfortable asking people for financial help on these trips, but I never want to block someone’s desire to help.
Recently my team and I were at a dental meeting and while there a friend gave me $100 bill and challenged me to do something amazing with it. Something that would change peoples lives. It needed to be a lasting change and something that would effect as many people as possible. This came as a huge surprise and a huge challenge. While $100 is a great donation and many things can be done with it, I didn’t see how this would change someone’s life, let alone a lot of people’s lives?
If you have ever wanted to be a part of a mission trip, here is a great chance! 100% of the funds donated will directly go to this project! The link below will take you to the donation page. Once on this page, go to the “projects in Honduras” drop down menu, and select “Good Water.”
My team and I are also donating for this project ourselves. We would like to raise the funds as soon as a possible. The deadline for our effort is Feb 28th. Please consider helping. Please watch the videos linked below, they help tell the story of this effort better than I can.
